Ty has been playing and teaching professionally for over 20 years, specializing in teaching students 6-and-up. Ty's unique instructing technique, "The Weatherly Way", has helped many students who were otherwise bored, frustrated or ready to quit. Some learn guitar and/or bass as a hobby but others dream of different possibilities. Many of Ty's students have gone on to become professional musicians, instructors, and even producers.

More About Ty

Ty has walked the walk as a musician for over two decades,  performed in bands around Dallas & LA, recorded in many top studios, and had professional experience with nationally known bands such as:  David Bowie, Jefferson Airplane, Foghat, Ted Nugent, .38 Special, & Survivor to name a few.

In addition to the rock stage Ty has contributed to live theatre productions including  "Give my Regards to Broadway", "Working", & "Godspell". Ty has even played at the Meyerson.

Ty has studied music at Richland, & Collin County Community Colleges as well as the Art Institute of Dallas. He currently maintains two studios located in Plano & Frisco, Texas.
